  • On top of that, in June 2018, the U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory gave the best score (level 1) to Zambia as regards to crime and safety.  Concretely, this score implies that the organization advises U.S. citizens to “exercise normal precautions” when going in Zambia.

Spectacular waterfalls

  • There are many waterfalls around the country (18).
  • One of these, Victoria Falls, is the largest waterfall in the world, about twice the height of Niagara Falls, and is considered by the U.S channel CNN as part of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Bat Migration

The largest mammal migration of the world occurs in Zambia. More than 8 million of straw-coloured bats arrive, each end-of calendar year, at their final destination:  the Kasanka National Park, Northern Zambia.

Zambia’s wildlife is rich and diversified. The country hosts 20 national parks and 34 game management areas. Although increasingly frequented, national parks are still extremely well preserved.

Vast Lakes

Zambia has world-famous lakes. Visitors have plenty of choice: they can lie down close to the longest lake in the world (Lake Tanganyika) or they can relax in the Africa’s largest man made dam (Lake Kariba).

Rich Rivers

Zambia being one of the most water rich countries, the country hosts many rivers. The most famous, the Zambezi River, is the fourth largest in Africa and provides habitat for a variety of animals.
